Sometimes Mondays Trick You

Sometimes Monday's trick you, and they are amazing. They may start out typical, you may be running late, have a ridicu-crazy day at work, and get stuck in traffic for 20 minutes going from Williams Sonoma to Pottery Barn in the Summit parking lot....

but lo, and behold — Monday slaps you in the face with awesomeness.

Last night I met some of my dear friends - and bible study group (minus Senia) - Tris, Cara, and Ruth at the new restaurant Flip. Flip is owned by Richard Blais, former Top Chef finalist, Iron Chef Competitor, and owner of a couple of restaurants in Atlanta.

When we walked in, there stood Richard Blais himself! We proceeded to have a conversation with him, where we all instantly became bff. Throughout the rest of the evening he proceeded to bring us free food, visit our table several times, thouroughly explain the fois gras milkshake, take a picture with us, and hold the door open for us on our way out.

He loved us.

I could not have been more excited.

Did I mention that Sara Evans and Jay Barker were sitting a couple of tables away from us?

That's just how we roll guys.

Ruth has a much more detailed account here.
