clients from hell

One blog that I check out frequently is Clients from Hell. It is a rolling list of reader submitted comments by and/or conversations with clients. I go there to empathize, and remind myself I am not the only one. They are graphic design related, but I think anyone can appreciate the humor.

These are a few of my favorites that have been on there recently...

______

Client: “The blue isn’t right.”

Me: “What PMS color are we trying to match?”

Client: “Oh, you know, the color of the Texas sky around daybreak.”

______

Client: “I hate this new font. Use the first one I showed you. This one makes the site look cheap instead of elegant.”

Me: The ‘cheap’ font was Georgia, the ‘elegant’ font was Georgia Italic.

______

Client: “It’s a great design. Beautiful, classic, elegant and sleek. It hits everything on our wish list, can we add in some cheetah or leopard print?”

______

Client: I showed it to my son and he didn’t like it, and he’s like the coolest 20-year-old ever.

______

Client: “We like the design, but could you make the blues all the same.”

Me: “It’s the same blue through out the design.”

Client: “It looks like different blues.”

Me: “That’s because colors are perceived differently dependent on neighboring colors.”

Client: “That’s stupid.”
