We are home, as most of you know.
We arrived Saturday night, to a large group of friends and family. We appreciate you guys showing up to welcome us home so very much - I can't tell you how good it was to see everyone after being so homesick. I can't wait until we get settled in some more, and can't start spending quality time with everyone!
We are fairly well so far. Each day has it's challenges, but overall the girls are doing pretty good. The first few days are kind of hazy because of jet lag... I started feeling better in that regard yesterday, so hopefully today will be even better!
We are kind of just hanging out right now. Unpacking, Playing with the dogs (the giels love them, which is great), Playing games, watching movies, doing English Lessons... I have also been researching home school curriculum and cover shcools (a little overwhelmed about that... and we have got to make some decisions about that soon.) The girls have been pickier about food since we have gotten home, and decide jointly after looking at something if they "like or don't like" it... which is frustrating, but I also know they are just missing familiar foods, etc. We are also learning about being consistent with hygiene, brushing teeth, etc... which is a whole other story - ask me about it in person sometime.
There are some definitely funny things that happen, especially with language... Yesterday Sasha came and announced that "Marina hit me in my Ass!!!!." Thus ensued a conversation that completely baffled her about "bad words" and how we don't say those. She also told us last night that she "wanted ice cream with milk in it," That took a bit to figure out - because, obviously, all ice cream has milk... we finally figured out she way trying to say she wanted vanilla ice cream. "All white ice cream."
We went and met Shane for lunch yesterday, the girls had Tazikis and we had Baha burger... it was yummy, my first burger in a long time! It was really nice to get out for a bit. I think we MIGHT try going to church Sunday morning, just depending on how the weekend goes.
